Multiple institutions have outright canceled their early-stage Adjaye commissions while others continue on without the direct involvement of the troubled architect.
The Baltimore-born architect was a fixture at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles beginning in the 1980s, including as director of its graduate program.
The shortlisted designs—from David Chipperfield Architects, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Johnston Marklee, Michael Maltzan Architecture, Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos, and Weiss/Manfredi—are now open for public comment.
