OMA’s design for the addition, unveiled today, neither competes with, nor defers to the SANAA building. With a simple but dynamic origami-like form, it takes cues from its predecessor while addressing its deficiencies.

Born in Scotland and raised in Ghana, Lokko leaves the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Johannesburg to become dean of the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York.
