Doors don’t have to just be functional, they can absolutely enhance the look and feel of an establishment. This webinar will explore the common and not-so-common ways that architects and designers can incorporate rolling and sectional closures into their hospitality designs – thinking outside the standard entrance and exit of a building. We will discuss closure placements ranging from room dividers, printed advertising opportunities, bar security and ways to extend usable space to the outdoors. We will also talk about resolving common pitfalls, such as - eliminating overhead interference, maximizing airflow in a post-covid world and establishing security without interfering with aesthetics.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the importance of designing without interfering with overhead mechanical, electrical or plumbing fixtures in addition to eliminating unnecessary overhead distractions.
- Pinpoint key vulnerable areas within a hospitality establishment that can benefit from the security of a rolling or sectional closure.
- Discuss the importance of designing with airflow and indoor / outdoor flexibility in a post-covid world.
- Outline how all of the above mentioned design objectives can be achieved while still making the aesthetic the number one priority.
