The demand and appreciation for outdoor amenity spaces to be included or expanded in the urban living and multi-family realm has increased. Designing the paving for outdoor amenity spaces to attract users requires a balance of aesthetics, function and comfort. Reflecting on projects featuring traditional and permeable concrete paving and providing an overview into recent trends, this presentation provides Architects, Landscape Architects and other design professionals insight for attracting users. The paving surface – an underused blank canvas for communicating the desired project tone.
This course is part of the Landscape Architecture Webinar Symposium. Exteriors have become more important to the overall site designs as our lives become more engaged with the outdoors and public spaces have become so important.
