UNStudio, a Dutch firm with offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong, unveiled its design for a new luxury residential tower in Singapore. The 200,000-square-foot, 31-story tower will have 231 units (one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments and penthouses).
UNStudio founder Ben van Berkel calls the tower a "vertical city" of "neighborhoods in the sky" in a press release, with different scales of residences clustered at different heights. About two-thirds of the way up is a "sky garden," an open-air deck with pools and dining areas that gives the building an airport observation tower look and mimics the lobby.
