Tile of Spain is looking for three architects and/or interior designers to join its annual sponsered media trip to visit CEVISAMA 2010, the International Ceramic Tile and Bath Furnishing Show held in Valencia each year. The group will travel via Madrid to Granada on February 5th and spend several days exploring such cultural and architectural sites as the Alhambra Palace. On February 9th the tour will move on to Valencia, the center of Spain's ceramic tile industry, where press and designers will attend CEVISAMA—visiting both manufacturers' booths and at least one nearby factory. Return from Valencia via Madrid will be on February 13th.
Accommodations will include round-trip airfare from the U.S. to Madrid and the two destination cities, hotel, all group transportation during the tour, admission to scheduled attractions, and many meals. (There will be free time for exploring the cities on your own but most activities, meals, and excursions are planned.) For those who appreciate tile—not to mention the architecture, culture, food and wine of Spain, this trip, attended by Record editors in the past, is well worth the time and effort.
The contest is open to architects and interior designers, currently affiliated with AIA, ASID and/or IIDA, living in the United States, and available for the duration of the tour from February 5 - 13, 2010.
