Born in Scotland and raised in Ghana, Lokko leaves the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Johannesburg to become dean of the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York.
The 20th anniversary of the awards program honors Thomas Phifer, IwamotoScott, and SCAPE Landscape Architecture, among others, for their excellence in design.
At the event’s business meeting on Wednesday in Las Vegas, members of the American Institute of Architects overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling for “urgent and sustained climate action.”
