Completed as part of a larger park rewilding project, the Ajolotario is a wetlands nature center complete with underwater portholes and a circular observation deck.
Originally a general store and restaurant for residents of the Alfred Boeke-designed planned community in Northern California, the Lodge now includes 17 updated guest rooms.
Opening today, the new building designed by Alberto Campo Baeza and Miguel Quismondo includes additional exhibition space and dedicated areas for public programming.
