A cluster of eye-catching glazed spheres is taking shape at the site of Amazon’s new corporate headquarters in Seattle. Situated at the heart of the online retailer’s $4 billion, three-block complex in the Denny Regrade neighborhood, the multi-story workspace designed by NBBJ will be contain trees, gardens, and waterfalls for employees to enjoy.
The spheres —the tallest of which rises 90 feet in the air—are surrounded by translucent shade pavilions, a dog park, and other public spaces. They are expected to open in early 2018.
