Nous Gallery promotes design and more: Founder Melissa Woolford sleeplessly inspires
Meet designer Melissa Woolford. After earning her M.Arch. with honors from the Pratt Institute in New York in 2006, Woolford moved to London to work for Zaha Hadid. In 2007, she teamed up with Paul Coates, architecture educator since 1970, and Christian Derix, founder of Aedas Architects, and founded Nous Gallery.

Scott Rodwin

Scott Rodwin: Finidng balance in art, dance and design
There's no doubt that Boulder, Colorado–based architect Scott Rodwin, AIA, is a Renaissance man. But does he also possess some superhuman power that lets him have more time in a day than the average person?

Christopher Payne: Documenting before their demise
For New York City–based architect and photographer Christopher Payne, the only thing depressing about spending days at a time alone with his large-format camera photographing abandoned and decrepit state psychiatric hospitals is that they’ll soon be gone.

Plus, Oren Safdie's architecture play, AutoCAD sings, Architectural Music, Art by the Bay Area Young Architects, Eric Whiting's Bikes, the Bow-wowhaus, Alain Valdes's toolshed, the music of the Orange Peels, the painting and poetry of Karin Pitman, AIA, the architectural art of Christian Culver & the furniture of designer Manche Mitchell.

The Architecourist: Venice, Malta, Tunisia - Layered places, layered pasts
Although well warned of the extreme heat and corresponding aroma of the Mediterranean region—specifically Venice, where I would be studying—my 10-week itinerary last summer included travel throughout Italy, the island country of Malta, and the desert country of Tunisia in North Africa.

Plus, read about a trip to the temples and teahouses of Kyoto, Japan and Erich Mendelsohn's Einstein Observatory.
